Children's Programs

Children's programs

Do you want to teach your kids about a loving God, loving your neighbors and the earth? So do we!

As we transition to having two worship services at 10:30 a.m. and 5:30 p.m., Hope Central Church is revamping and expanding our children's programs. We launched this new format on Sunday, March 7.

Generally, our children's activities take place during the first part of worship through the sermon, with children processing back into church in time to participate in the communion part of the service. (At Hope Central Church we believe that everyone is welcome at the Communion Table, including children.)

While children are invited to participate in the following activities, they are also always welcome to stay with their families at the worship service.

10:30 a.m.:  church school and child care

Our main program for children will be offered during the 10:30 a.m. service. We will have three classrooms to provide an age-appropriate experience:

  • for toddlers:  child care in our nursery
  • for pre-school through grade 1:  a Godly Play program of stories and crafts
  • for primary grades:  church school class

5:30 p.m.:  child care

We will continue to offer the same kind of child care at our 5:30 p.m. service as in the recent past:  a single room for all ages from toddler to grade 1, offering safe and friendly child care and a Godly Play story. Children older than grade 1 are encouraged to remain in the worship service with their families.
